Google Set To Update Camera App With Support For 3rd Party Extensions Google is reportedly preparing to push new features and improvements to the stock Android camera app. According to “sources aware of Google plans” cited by En gadget, Google is currently testing the new app, which will eventually be offered as a standalone app in the Play Store, making it possible for Google to update it without a full system update. Said sources claim the camera app will gain a refreshed user interface and that Google is going to fix framing, so the entirety of the shot is visible in preview mode when taking a picture.
